The open door to the leadership and the congregation at this time is self-importance. Jezebel is self-important, and our spiritual condition (walking and living in self-importance) is Jezebel in us, so Jezebel from the outside has access to us, to the church.
There is a judgment on Jezebel - Rev. 2:22-23 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds. And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts; and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.”
The Lord is against our tolerating self-importance in the church. Romans 12 addresses this condition of our souls. Holy Spirit is addressing it now because of the deeper levels we are seeking, the deeper levels he wants to bring us into - it is our desire to go deeper, but that desire comes from Him. We (the church) have been in ankle-to-knee depth. He wants to take us to a level in the Spirit / the supernatural that is “too deep, water in which one must swim, a river that [cannot] be crossed” (Ezekiel 47).
We also need this sanctification because of the enemy - he can touch us if we are not fully sanctified and, in addition to sickness, he can bring all manner of insanity and sabotage … and he will. The good news is that God is bringing His people into the oneness of the early church where they had all things in common, no needs, kept feeling a sense of awe, and many were added daily. The seeming “bad” news is that the requirement for holiness will be like it was when Ananias and Sapphira lied to the Holy Spirit - their need or desire for self-importance was judged by death. This is not your “normal” revival.
Those who will walk in glory (in a glorified state) must surrender all self-importance, pride, comparison, and competition … once and for all.
Then . . . Jezebel, witchcraft, undermining, immorality and python can be evicted. Also, then . . . marriages will have a chance for healing and renewal. Interesting that Ananias and Sapphira were a married couple, as were Jezebel and Ahab. Many marriages in our assembly, in the Church, are seemingly inexplicably struggling. This is due to the demonic onslaught against marriages. Renouncing and repenting of self-importance will allow the Holy Spirit to minister to marriage relationships in a new way.
Married or not, renouncing and repenting of self-importance is called for, for the preparation of the Bride of Christ, for the marriage that matters most - that of the Bride and the Bridegroom, Christ.
God’s blessings be upon His people.
